Christoph Blocher can look back on a long career. As a student in the legal department of EMS-Chemie, he made a quick career and in 1983 took over the majority of the shares in the company, which is now run by Blocher's daughter Magdalena Martullo-Blocher.

Blocher's political career led over miles from the local council the National Council in the Federal Council .
