The Levis Aquatic Complex will open on January 20
The Lévis multifunctional aquatic complex, which was scheduled to open last fall, will finally open on Monday, January 20. After 25 years of waiting, citizens will – finally – be able to take advantage of these new facilities built for $ 35.5 million.
T he center is located on the Route des Rivières in the Saint-Nicolas sector, next to the École de l’Envol. When the models were unveiled in June 2017, it was the largest public construction site in Lévis.
The complex has been pledged by three municipal governments since the late 1990s. It is 50% funded by the federal and provincial governments, and 50% by the City of Lévis.
The delays experienced in the fall were related to the design of the water games.
The project will double the capacity for free baths, increasing the number of admissions from 50,000 to 100,000 per year.
