Streep and Hanks expected on the red carpet in Toronto

Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Bruce Springsteen are among the stars on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this year.
The three celebrities are on a recently announced list of confirmed talents for the festivities that will take place from September 5th to 15th.

Maryl Streep will be present for The Laundromat , produced by Netflix, about journalists investigating the “Panama Papers” money-laundering scandal.

Tom Hanks will tour Toronto to present A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood , where he plays children’s television host Fred Rogers.

And Bruce Springsteen will attend the world premiere of his documentary in a Western Stars concert .

Joaquin Phoenix, Joker star ; Daniel Craig for Knives Out; Matt Damon and Christian Bale with the biopic Ford v. Ferrari; Nicole Kidman for the drama The Goldfinch ; and Natalie Portman with Lucy in the Sky are also expected.

Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu will be at the festival with Hustlers , while Renee Zellweger will present Judy , in which she plays singer and actress Judy Garland. Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver will be on the Red carpet at Marriage Story.

Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx will be present for the biopic Just Mercy, on the famous human rights defender Bryan Stevenson, while Eddie Murphy will participate in the festival for Dolemite Is My Name , in which he plays comedian Rudy Ray Moore.

For her part, Kristen Stewart will be at the festival promoting the historical drama Seberg , in which she stars actress Jean Seberg, and Lucas Hedges and Sterling K. Brown will present the romantic drama Waves .

Prominent Canadian celebrities include Christopher Plummer, Donald Sutherland, Ellen Page, Atom Egoyan, Neve Campbell and David Foster.
