The director and playwright Juan González Bonilla was discharged to continue his recovery at home, after three weeks in hospital.
Producer Joseph Amato reported today through his social networks that the playwright is already at his residence, in “stable condition” and on his way to a recovery that will take time for which he requested prayers.
“Dear friends, today thanks to God I have Juan in my house, he was discharged, although he is still in a recovery that will take time. His condition is stable and we will be doing whatever he needs to get him back on his feet. He is very weak for almost three weeks of being bedridden and a little confused, but that we will begin to treat him, “said Amato in the post on Facebook.
González Bonilla underwent a successful operation last week and was on antibiotics for the pneumonia he faced.
It was Amato who revealed that González was in intensive care, after suffering an accident that caused fractures on the right side of his face and ribs. He was in bed for three weeks and in intensive care in the hospital. It is unknown what type of accident he had.
Amato thanked all the people who have been watching the director's health.
“I want to thank you once again from my heart for the prayers that everyone has made to the Almighty for his restoration. Keep praying for him, we still have a way to go, but we have taken a big step in getting him out of the hospital. I am eternally grateful to them and when he can understand, I will tell him about all the love they have sent him, “he added on Facebook.
Prior to this publication, Amato provided details on the playwright's health progress.
“God has been generous with us and Juan's operation was successful and without complications. He is still under observation and antibiotics for his pneumonia, but little by little he has been improving. It will be a slow process, but with God by our side everything is possible ”, he said.
González Bonilla's theatrical career began in adolescence. There are many projects that he has directed on the country's tables and in 1970 he founded together with Amato the theatrical company Producciones Candilejas, which remained active until last year.
The company has in its catalog a hundred works produced locally.
