Operating on the right shoulder, Jake Guentzel will be inactive for four to six months
The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without striker Jake Guentzel for four to six months, general manager Jim Rutherford announced Tuesday.
Guentzel had surgery on the right shoulder following an injury in the third period of the game against the Ottawa Senators on Monday, dropping heavily on the ramp.
The injury occurred at the same time as Guetzel scored his 20th goal of the season, a peak with the team.
The 25-year-old forward also ranks first among the Penguins with 43 points.
