Open or closed January 2

Several services and establishments will remain closed on Wednesday, January 2, but some others will open, often at later hours.
Several food markets will be closed, but others will welcome customers in the early afternoon, as will branches of the Société des alcools (SAQ). Public markets will however be closed all day.
The offices of the governments of Canada and Quebec will be closed. Most municipal offices will also be closed, but in some cities, services could be offered by boroughs. This is particularly the case for the collection of household waste and recyclable materials.
Banks and credit unions will be closed, as will the Municipal Court.
The regular RTC schedule will resume on January 3.
