Open or closed for Christmas?

All service centers are closed from noon on Monday December 24 until Wednesday January 2 inclusive.

Waste collection

There will be no collection of residual materials on Tuesday 25 December. The collections will all be postponed the day after their scheduled date, until Saturday inclusive. The transhipment center will be closed on December 25, but open from 7 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, December 29. The Aeroparc ecocentre will be closed on December 24, 25 and 26, but open on December 27, 28, 29 and 30.

Libraries

All branches will be closed on December 24, 25 and 26.

Sports activities

The swimming pools will be closed from midday on December 24 and will be closed on December 25. The same will apply to the arenas, which will remain closed on December 25 and 26 as well. The sports center will be closed on December 25.

Public transportation

The Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) offers its services free of charge on December 25. The Sunday schedule will be in effect. A special schedule with travel additions at noon will be in effect on December 24. The Saturday schedule will be applied on December 26. A special service will be offered on December 27 and 28.

SAQ

All SAQ branches will be closed on December 25. SAQ Express are open until 7 p.m. on December 24, while the other branches close at 5 p.m. All points of sale will open at 1 p.m. on December 26.

The Promenades Gatineau, Galeries de Hull and Galeries d’Aylmer shopping centers will be closed on December 25.

Service centers

All service centers, as well as the Provincial Offenses Court – including the courts of 100 Constellation Crescent – will be closed on December 25 and 26.

There will be no collection of residual materials on Tuesday 25 December. The collections will all be postponed the day after the scheduled date, during the following week. The Trail Road Landfill will be closed on December 25. The Christmas trees will be collected on the usual collection day.

Libraries

All branches of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed on December 25 and 26, and most of them will close at 3 p.m. on December 24. Those who normally close earlier will adhere to their usual schedule. Branches and departments will open as usual from December 27 to 30.

Sports activities

The swimming and free skating sessions – indoor and outdoor -, as well as the opening hours of the fitness centers will have a modified schedule during the holidays. All information is available at www.ottawa.ca .

Public transportation

OC Transpo will offer a reduced week schedule on December 24, 27 and 28, the Sunday schedule on December 25, as well as a Saturday schedule with increased service on busy circuits on December 26.

LCBO

All LCBO branches will be closed on December 25. The outlets at 275 Rideau Street and 120 Riocan Avenue will be open on December 26.

Shopping centers

The Rideau Center, Center St-Laurent, Place d’Orléans and the Bayshore shopping center are closed on December 25.
