Old Gatineau Social Pediatrics Center: no reopening date set
The Center for Social Pediatrics of Old Gatineau wishes to resume its activities in this sector of the east of the city during the week of January 6, but no specific date is yet set in stone for the moment.
The center premises located at 321 Notre-Dame Street were damaged on December 14 when a fire broke out in a nearby business.
“We are working to be able to reopen as soon as possible, but we do not want to give a firm date,” said the organization’s communications advisor, Marlène Ruel, on Monday.
“We have to make sure that we can provide adequate services to the clientele,” she added.
The Centre’s services will be moved to a new location in the same sector.
“We offer local service so we want to make sure we can offer local service in the same way as 321 Notre-Dame did,” said Ms. Ruel.
Essential services for customers in the east of the city have been offered at the Centre’s premises in Old Hull since the unfortunate events.
The Center for Social Pediatrics offers consultation, medical and psychosocial follow-up services as well as therapy for children.
