The Libero of the National Team and member of the Criollas de Caguas Shara Venegas announced on Tuesday that she reached an agreement to play in the professional league of Ukraine with the Prometey club, current champion of the tournament.
“This Bori goes to Ukraine and I go with everything I have. Greetings to all my volleyball fans hereby I want to inform you that I will be reinforcing the champion team of the Ukrainian league. They don't know how excited and happy I am about this new stage of playing in Europe, ”Venegas wrote on her Facebook account.

Promethey led the Ukrainian league 29-1 for 85 points.
Venegas had previous experience abroad in the Brazilian Super League with Bauro.
With this signing, there are eight Puerto Ricans who have reached an agreement to play in Europe in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The 2020 season of the Women's Senior Volleyball League was canceled due to the virus.
In fact, five players from the Criollas will be active abroad. Pilar Victoriá and Ana Sofía Jusino signed in France; Stephanie Enright, made a pact with Bergamo in Italy, and setter Jennifer Nogueras will go to Hungary.
Center-back Neira Ortiz (Hungary), setter Natalia Valentín (Bergamo in Italy) and forward Daly Santana (Turkey) complete the group of volleyball players abroad.
