Team Liquid is a well-known name in the e-sports scene. The Dutch organization has made a name for itself in all major virtual sports. Now a new team is being formed for the young shooter game “Valorant” – made up entirely of women. They should set an example and show that professional gaming is not just for men.
This is the first team at Liquid to be made up entirely of female members. These were by no means recruited just for show. The five gamers women were already known in Brazil as Gamelanders Purple. There they dominated the scene and won many tournaments in South America.

Not just a hobby
The five gamblers have a total of 13 victories to show for 2021 – and not just in small tournaments. Among other things, they had great success at the Championship Circuits from “Valorant” developer Riot Games. They not only dominated the women's leagues: In the qualifications for the official, worldwide “Valorant” Champions Tour, they made it into the top 32 in the male-dominated scene.
Steve Arhancet, CEO of Team Liquid, says on Twitter: «We are proud and excited to bring together this new team from Brazil. They've worked hard on their skills and are ready to show the world what they're made of.” In the future, Team Liquid will therefore also be present in the women's league for “Valorant” in addition to their main team.
