Most recently, he put on the luxury yachts Vava II and Christina O, on which Heidi Klum (48) and Tom Kaulitz (32) tied the knot in 2019.

Drum goes on

  • Vincent Dubinsky aka DJ Cruz has been successful in the nightlife for over 15 years.

  • The 30-year-old is booked for celebrity events around the world.

  • For a few days now, the man from Zurich has been playing at various events in St. Barth.

  • Among the guests: Stars like Drake (35), Leonardo DiCaprio (47) and Dua Lipa (26 ).

  • Cruz reveals some details about the hip VIP events on board the luxury yacht Vava II.

Vincent Dubinsky from Zurich has been successful in the nightlife under the name “DJ Cruz” for over 15 years. He started his career in the basement of his buddy, today the 30-year-old plays in the top league. His bookings range from trendy clubs in Dubai to New York, London and Paris to Milan. But he is also regularly behind the DJ desk at celeb events such as international fashion weeks and film festivals.

Vincent's last coup: several engagements during the turn of the year on St. Barth. For these gigs, Cruz was flown in from Switzerland and was allowed to attend celebrities such as Drake (35), Leonardo DiCaprio (47), Dua Lipa (26), Kygo (30), Lil Baby (27), Jake Paul (24) and make many more dance with its hip-hop beats.

«I know that my job gives me a very privileged life. This is exactly why I value every single day so much, “said Cruz in an interview with 20 Minuten. The former banker still struggles with himself in certain situations: “I find it particularly difficult not to ask stars for photos. But I have to maintain this professionalism because of my customers. »

High society on a super yacht

The venue for the New Year's Eve spectacle was, among other things, the 97-meter super yacht Vava II owned by Swiss entrepreneur Ernesto Bertarelli. According to Cruz, there are some rules to be observed at such events: “You have to treat guests and other partygoers respectfully and with a healthy distance. The stars enjoy being among themselves and simply partying. It is therefore not permitted to post videos and pictures on social media on which they can be recognized without consent. ”

Anyone who thinks that champagne is the main drink at such events is mistaken. At the moment, tequila was especially popular among the stars in 1942, reports Cruz. A bottle of the premium spirit costs around 170 francs in Switzerland.

Dua Lipa wanted Afrobeats

One track created a particularly exuberant mood among the celebrities on board: “Cold Heart” by Elton John and Dua Lipa. But the performer herself did not seem to be entirely satisfied: “Dua Lipa came with DiCaprio and his girlfriend Morrone to ask for Afrobeats, which of course I also played.”

The celebration lasted until the early hours of the morning. It was not until 9.30 a.m. that the luxury yacht was quiet again. But the next party nights are clocked through until January sixth. “After Christmas, it's high season here in St. Barth when it comes to parties and celebrity factors,” he says.
