The National Bowling Team player, Andraunick “Andro” Simounet , is once again battling cancer, so his family and friends have decided to help him by creating an account to raise funds on the “Go Fund Me” platform.
The account can be obtained under the name 'Andro's cancer surgery and treatment' .
Simounet had already been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017. The competitor, who has represented the country in Central American Games and who obtained gold in the edition of this fair in Barranquilla 2018, shared that the idea of creating this account came after the journalist and university professor Zacha Acosta made his case known and that comedian Raymond Arrieta is interested in helping him. The money raised will be used to cover the expenses associated with a surgery that must be done to remove the cancer deposits that you have in different parts of your body and for the treatments associated with your condition.
“What I have is carcinomatosis. If you think of the abdomen, there is a layer that covers that abdomen, like a cloth. It is a surgery that takes time because you have to remove those tumors that are in that area. It looks like it has something in the colon, liver, stomach and bladder. But we don't know where they are for sure, ”explained Simounet, who was left without a job and without a private health plan amid the coronavirus crisis. The athlete has a government plan.
