Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was admitted to a hospital as a precaution after testing positive for COVID-19 .
Christie, who helped Trump prepare for the presidential debate last Tuesday and was present at the White House at the event where Amy Coney Barrett was announced as a nominee for the United States Supreme Court, reported her decision in a series of tweets.
“In consultation with my doctors, I checked into Morristown Medical Center this afternoon. Although I feel fine and have only mild symptoms, due to my history of asthma, we decided that this is an important precautionary measure, ”he said.
The former official announced his positive result on Saturday morning, just over a day after President Trump reported his contagion “I just received the notice that I am positive for COVID-19,” Christie said in a tweet published this tomorrow.
“I want to thank all my friends and colleagues who have reached out to ask how I am feeling a day or two ago. I will receive medical attention today and keep the necessary people informed about my condition, ”he added.
