Drunk driving in the Outaouais, with her child on board
A Montcerf-Lyton man will face charges of impaired driving after being arrested while intoxicated with his child on board.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said on Tuesday that it had made this arrest before the holiday season, on December 20, around 5 p.m.
Sergeant Marc Tessier, of the SQ, specifies that the individual in question had gone to pick up the child in a school establishment. Adults alerted the police since he appeared to be intoxicated.
“The police went north on Route 105 and passed the vehicle at 354 boulevard Desjardins, in Maniwaki.”
The 36-year-old man was driving with a small child in the car. He contacted a family member to have his child picked up.
The 30-year-old was transported to the police station, then released while awaiting further legal proceedings.
His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days while the vehicle was towed.
