Thousands of people in Switzerland are currently absent from work because they are in quarantine or isolation. Do you have to push extra shifts? Then tell us about it.

Some now put extra shifts at work …

Do you have to work overtime because of quarantine ; ne-absences?

… because your colleagues have to stay in quarantine or isolation.

Do you have to work overtime because of quarantine absences?

Over 118,000 people in Switzerland are currently officially in quarantine or isolation.

The Omikron variant is becoming a stress test: Over 118,000 people are currently absent from work because they are in quarantine or isolation, as the BAG reports. Since some cantons such as Zurich have not recently provided any figures, there are actually many more.

The many absences are causing the Swiss economy to groan. Thousands are already missing from the workplace. Hotels close due to a lack of staff, in Zurich an entire tram line is closed due to absences. Politics and business are therefore calling for the quarantine time to be shortened from ten to five days to relieve the burden.

How is it with you, do you now have to work more because your work colleagues are in quarantine or isolation? And how are you doing? Tell us about it in the form below.
