After the death of her beloved Elín Ortiz four years ago, the presenter Charytín Goyco had only been able to act in films, several plays or make appearances always shielded under some character. Describing that her grieving process was a very terrible one, the animator says that she felt that this prevented her from appearing on television.
“When he died I was very ill, I had a very terrible duel,” he confesses. “I couldn't do television, what a great thing! It was the only thing that I still couldn't do, I felt that it wasn't me yet, I didn't feel (…) ”, the singer and television presenter recounted to El Nuevo Día.
It was not until a little over a year ago that the so-called “Blond of America” had “her soul returned to her body” and she followed great advice from her husband and father of her three children Shalim, Sharinna and Alexander.
“Elín always told me, 'Learn to live. You have to live with what you have. ' And I realized that it is true. You have to learn with what you have or what you don't have. There this soul has already returned, I can tell! ”, He revealed.
For this reason, when Univisión communicated in the middle of the pandemic to offer to be part of the program “Tu cara me suena” , which premieres on October 4, she felt more than ready and was very excited to return to the channel that was her home therefore time several years ago and on a show that was fun and upbeat.
Goyco will impart his spark and characteristic sense of humor as part of the jury along with singer-songwriter Kany García, actress and comedian Angélica Vale and the singer of the Reik group , Jesús Navarro . Likewise, it will have the participation, in the behind-the-scenes coverage, of the entertainer Amara La Negra.
“Now Charytín will not be a theater character. I am going to apply all my humor and knowledge. This interested me a lot because my purpose was for people to have fun. This is a very fun and upbeat show; We will do our part to make people die laughing and enjoy it, ”said the actress, who will be evaluating eight celebrities who will become music idols every week during the competition.
Hosted by the actress Ana Brenda Contreras and the host of “Enamorándonos”, Rafael Araneda, the new Sunday program will feature Chantal Andere, Gabriel Coronel, El Dasa, Sandra Echeverría, Francisca Lachapel, Melina León , Llane and Pablo Montero .
“These eight people are going to impersonate, they are not going to imitate. It is that they become iconic artists and they have to act, sing and make gestures. Everything has to be perfectly like the original artist ”, he clarifies while letting us know that it will be a great challenge to be able to evaluate them critically.
“The eight participants are very beautiful people, all talented and a very big job awaits them. I am so lame, having to say 'you no', I am to say that everything is good and how beautiful, even if it is bad. They have told me that I cannot be a lame, that I have to be an upright judge. Regarding the prevention of the contagion of COVID-19 during the production of “Tu cara me suena,” Goyco points out that Univision has handled it in a way that it considers impressive.
“We are in a separate study, they test the entire team every two weeks, from technicians, assistants, makeup artists and costumes, to more than one hundred or so people. It is the most perfect way to be protected, apart from having masks and being strict in cleaning ”, he indicates.

His three children, whom he describes as his three loves, have chosen to dedicate themselves to the world of entertainment, just as Ortiz and Goyco have dedicated themselves for so many years and with love. She highlights that they make her feel very proud with each step they take and with the gift of people they have.
“I am very proud of them, they are all very hardworking. You have not seen scandal of my children of any kind; They are all three interesting guys, good people. I wanted my children to be good people, humble, with a heart and full of love towards everyone and my three children are like that. Now the successes and the talents and everyone can know who they are more or less, but that they are good people, and that happened. That is the joy of my heart ”, confides the artist, who has always instilled in her children to give 100% to any job, something that she and Ortiz taught them by example.

Charytín Goyco reveals that from a very young age she decided to be a happy person, even though she assures that she did not have an easy life at home during her childhood.
“You have to make happiness, it doesn't always come. There are sad moments, but your heart has to have hope. You make your happiness and I believe that you have to thank God for life. I am grateful for each day that passes. I have looked for him since I was a child and everyone has that tool to move him forward in life even if sadness comes.
