The Bacardi rum brand, through Casa Bacardí Puerto Rico, launched virtual cocktails and team building experiences that allow you to interactively connect with a group
As one of the most popular destinations on the island, Casa Bacardí, in Cataño, receives approximately 200,000 visitors each year to see the world's largest rum distillery and learn about the history of the brand.
For now, the doors remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing that people seek entertainment and opportunities to connect and share, Casa Bacardí has created new programs that bring the fun, Caribbean warmth, and tropical Bacardí experience right into their homes.
The cocktail experts at Casa Bacardí will share the art of making rum cocktails, including the mojito, the piña colada and, for all who expect a holiday experience, the Bacardi Coquito, a Caribbean classic around Christmas time. During the sessions, the history of the cocktails, the brand's 158 years will be shared, and interactive segments will be offered where guests can ask questions directly to the experts.
As part of the efforts to bring the Casa Bacardi experience to homes, registered participants will receive the necessary bar tools: shaker, mixer, meter, and strainer. Additionally, reservations include the choice of a personalized label that can be attached to any 750 ml bottle of Bacardi Superior rum. Free shipping is available within Puerto Rico and the United States, with international shipping options available.
“At Bacardi, it's all about celebrating the moments that matter and making connections,” said Wesley Elizabeth Cullen, general manager of Casa Bacardi. “Although we miss welcoming people to Cataño, we are very pleased to bring people together, share our knowledge of rum and our love of enjoying cocktails together, through virtual programs.”
The experience is available for groups of up to 200 people and can be customized as an innovative and different element to an existing meeting or as a standalone experience. Meeting planners and businesses can write to [email protected] for more information and to make group arrangements. In addition to virtual products, Casa Bacardí offers a variety of branded and personalized products, such as bar items, clothing, and local items such as recycled glasses made from rum bottles at shop.casabacardi.com
Although the Casa Bacardí team has implemented new health and safety protocols at its facilities in response to COVID-19, it has not yet published a reopening date.
