The number of applications for early voting for the next general elections continues to rise and today, Tuesday, 193,216 people are already registered who will vote through this mechanism.
According to the State Elections Commission (CEE) , 88,270 voters requested early voting at home, while 52,518 will do so at the precinct. These early voting requests were received at the Permanent Registration Boards (JIP).
In the Administrative Board of Absentee and Early Voting, another 2,616 voters were received who also requested an early vote.
The EEC is still counting requests for early voting and expects to culminate on October 2.
The electoral commissioners have already expressed their concern with the high volume of these requests and the handling that the CEE will give in the face of the November 3 elections.
